Mobile, Alabama

If you have taken a drug and have become ill or suffered from life-altering side effects, you may be entitled to compensation.  The attorneys at Long & Waite help clients just like you every day who have been the victim of defective products or drugs.

Yaz and Yasmin are popular birth control pills produced by Bayer Healthcare.  Yaz and Yasmin are similar to other birth control pills.  Both Yaz and Yasmin use ethinyl estradiol, a form of estrogen, to prevent pregnancy. What makes Yaz and Yasmin different from most other birth control pills is that they both contain a synthetic form of progestin called drospirenone.  Drospirenone is another ingredient in Yaz and Yasmin that prevents pregnancy.  However, dospirenone has been known to increases potassium levels in the blood stream.  The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned consumers that increased potassium levels in your blood can lead to health complications. Please contact Long & Waite today if you have been taking Yaz or Yasmin and have become ill.
